Dexter Daily Statesman: Obituaries: Ronald Black
Ronald Black, son of Robert R. Black and the late Ruth Louise Kirkman Black, was born in St. Louis on March 24, 1956, and died at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Dec. 30, 2009, at the age of 53.
He had lived in Dexter and Bloomfield most of his life. He had worked as a self-employed landscaper before his health forced his retirement and was of the Baptist Faith.
On Jan. 14, 1986, he was married to Patricia Christian in Malden.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Black of Bloomfield; one daughter, Tricia Newell of Dexter; one son, Michael Black of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Seth McKinney of Park Hills, Drake Hampton and Lixus Newell, both of Dexter; two brothers, Ricky L. Black of Rolla and Wayne K. Black of Bloomfield; two sisters, Mary K. Sander of Sikeston and Teresa L. Sanders of Dexter. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nelda J. Black.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
